Colorful, Creative Apartment - Need Roommate 01/23

The room offers plenty of natural lighting, two closets, and carpeted floors. Semi-private bathroom with shared laundry. Shared living, dining, and kitchen area. Balcony. Apartment on the second floor. There’s a gym, pool, and sauna. Bike racks. Small local trail. Plenty of grocery and restaurants options as well. Bus stop near by. Metro short drive away.

The unit is unrenovated which is why my current roommate and I decided to make the apartment colorful and cozy. She is moving out in early January and I will be in need of someone to take up the second bedroom. All the bedroom furniture will be cleared out for your own. Some of the furniture and decor in the shared space is hers and will most likely leave with her.

Shared Expenses:
- Energy (Dominion) and Gas (Washington Gas)
- Wi-Fi (Verizon)
- Water, Sewer, & Trash (through apartment management)
- Streaming services (just make your own profile)

Individual Expenses:
- Parking

I am an artist and student at GMU with two part time jobs so I’m often in and out. I like to keep the apartment clean and tidy. I have quite a bit of plants that I like to care for and enjoy growing food when I can. I am a sustainability student so I look to apply those values in my daily life and at home. I like to eat as healthy as possible with flexibility for cravings. I tend to keep to myself and am quiet but tend to open up once I get to know someone.

Here’s what I’m looking for in a roommate:

Required:
- Clean and tidy and organized
- Respectful of others and your own/others’ belongings
- Proactive about cleaning/organizing/fixing the apartment or contacting maintenance when need be
- All genders welcome except for straight cisgender man

Preferably:
- Values sustainability and being eco-friendly in your everyday life. Or at least willing to learn and apply.
- Actively working on improving and developing their inner self (basically not someone operating at a very low frequency 24/7)
- Ok with plant music/healing frequencies/universal law podcasts played during the day
- Eat healthy & care about your holistic health
