2 private rooms 3 blocks from subway

Ad ref# 100032122

I have two private rooms that are separate from the rest of my apartment(1 small and 1 large) for rent in an artsy three bedrooms one bathroom apartment just three block from the subway, that are very bright with lots of natural lighting, spotlessly clean, both of which open to a mystical/whimsical and eclectic atrium.

The large double room (my current project) is in the process of being painted and refurbished, and for the time being is rented on a month to month basis. It features beautiful hardwood floors, 3 big bay styled windows with a northern exposure that flood it with light (the hues of which are particularly striking during the early morning hours and at dusk); making it ideally suited for those into the visual arts genre, fashion, and the such ... that need a bright spacious in which they can both live and work in. Still not too sure on if in the future I'll be renting it fully furnished, or if to just leave it partially furnished. But I'm leaning more towards a studio-like atmosphere/setup than a bedroom, and open to suggestions, should it again become avaiable.

The smaller one has been furnished and decorated with heartfelt care and attention to detail with the intention that it be a cozy, charming, and cheerful environment that is both appealing and functional. It has just been freshly painted, so it has a brand new feel to it; and features beautiful hardwood floors, a new rug, a new twin sized loft bed with a desk underneath it ... making it best suited for a student and/or someone who is into the creative arts/crafts. It has excellent usage of space with overhead shelving as well as additional nooks to put thing in, and a decent sized closet. There are also plenty of hooks to hang things from, a coat rack, a full mirror, and extra shelves/containers/crates if wanted.

Wifi and high speed Broadband wireless connections are available, so both rooms have great access to the Internet. There is also an extra 4. 0 cubic ft. refrigerator in the atrium which can be shared.

I live in a two family home just three block from the "M" train with a 5 minutes ride to the "L" train, a 12 minutes ride to the "J" train, and a 25 minutes direct ride into Manhattan. The 38, 39, 54, 58 and 67 buses are very close by, so getting around is no problem. Street parking is amply available in front of the house during the daytime hours. That said, it does get scarce after 9: 00 PM.

The neighborhood, with it's corner stores and old-world markets that lend it an unpretentious and approachable air, doesn?t top the charts for hip hideouts or posh nightclubs. Instead, its pragmatic and mostly young populace enjoys a slow-paced lifestyle that consists of breezy chitchat and sanguine stoop sitting. The multiple subway lines that serve it, and act as the lifeline to the bolder NYC neighborhoods ... it's proximity to a huge park that features tennis, handball, and basketball courts ... your usual K-Mart, 24 hrs super CVS store, gym, laundromat, BJ's, Nathan's, Burger King, plus a scattering of quaint restaurants, bars, pizza places, coffee shops, and a string of food stores and markets with a wide variety of quality produce at real bargain prices, all within walking distance ... and it's overall functionality with it's ever present view of the NYC skyline ... make it the next best thing - Minus the noise! And Yes! It IS very safe!!!

As for rent, I'm looking to get $850 for the smaller furnished room, and $1, 150 for the large room. Utilities are all included, but if you will be installing an AC, then it will be a little extra during the summer months. and a valid picture ID. Should we be a fit, and we decide to go for it, I'll be needing 1st month's rent, plus an equal amount as a security deposit (which is not to be used as last month's rent), plus a valid picture ID.

About me: I'm a professional NYC based dance artist/teacher and an astrologer originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina; with a busy schedule and an active lifestyle. While at home, I'm quiet, easy going, non-intrusive, and respectful of people's privacy. As such, I would expect the same from a roommate, given that my home is my sanctuary as well as my place for study, research, and downtime. I also enjoy a great relationship with my neighbors, so it's very important that my roommates be respectful of them too.

Ideally, I'm looking for either young professionals, and/or students, who are independent, considerate, clean, financially stable, cheerful, creative/artistic, enthusiastic to be living in the hustle and bustle of NYC, yet would enjoy a quiet, mellow and peaceful place in which to chill, recharge their batteries, work on their studies/projects ... and as such, will not be bringing the party home. That said, adults of all ages, nationalities, and occupations with a genuinely enthusiastic spirit and a true zest/passion for life, who are not much into cooking, as well as respectful of NYC Quiet Hours are welcome.

I consider myself very open minded, somewhat eclectic with a wide range of interests, LGBT friendly, and overall very low keyed and laid back. Although not too sure about that adorable pet tarantula... Kitties, pocket pets, and other small quiet pets (scaly ones included) ... are also welcome. Sorry but for as much as I love them, no doggies.

If this seems like a good fit for you, shoot me a message telling me a little about yourself, your interests, and expectations.

With warm wishes of all good and wonderful things...

Cheers!

P. S. Sure hope you like mythological dragons... As there are plenty of them around!
