Small Rm on West Side Available November (mid-Oct)
Hey guys,
Ok so first off, apologies for the caps. :) I know you're all skimming through like hundreds of thousands of ads, so just trying to save us all time here.
It is better for me and my current roommate to not have anyone move in until November 1. But Kevin does have to go visit his grandmother, so October could be doable for the right person. I. e. for someone wonderful.... But the absolute earliest would be October 15.
LONG-TERM ONLY, i. e. I'm looking for a roommate for the next couple of years ideally. For short-term sublets, please see my other ad on this site (there is a price difference!!)
The room is SMALL. 72 square feet (8x9). Or 6. 7 square meters (about 2. 4 by 2. 7 meters). I think this was originally like a butler's room? With all the stuff in the pics on Spareroom: yes, there's room to walk - but just a little.
It comes furnished:
- With a full-sized bed
- A 60" Real Simple canvas wardrobe (white now instead of brown). THERE ARE NO OTHER CLOSETS IN THE ROOM, so you'd have to bring a bureau or something.
- But there is also a loft bed that was originally in the room, which can be used to sleep on or for shelving, as my current roommate is doing.
- Finally, there is a dvd shelf/bookshelf (for small books or random objects).
The room as my current roommate has it set up (very messily lol) has not yet been photographed. The dresser, desk & air conditioner in the pics on Spareroom belonged to my old roommate.
There's one window in the room.
I'm a 37-year-old actor, singer, & tutor/French teacher. Yikes, time flies. Graduated from Yale University with a degree in theater an aeon ago.
My current roommate is a wonderful, lovely person. But after one year here, he has decided that he needs to be in Brooklyn, closer to his classmates, with whom he makes films. Aaaarrrrgggg. I am so sad about this!! He's become like my little brother.
Yes, this is a 2BR. You will not be sharing the bathroom and common space with 14 other people.
Just with me and my sweet, adorable KITTY - who is shy but loves people, especially when they love him!
We are on the 1st floor. No stairs to climb!
Your room is all the way at the other end of the apartment from mine, so you have maximum privacy.
It is also at the other end of the apartment from the street, so you have minimal street noise.
Building is PRE-WAR. That's the Second World War, folks.
Thanks for your time, and I'm looking forward to meeting you!
