Private Room in Herald Square

Hello NYC Room-Hunters,

We are two mid-twenties male working professionals looking for a male roommate in our midtown Herald Square apartment to move in June 1st. The rent is $1,300 per month, not including internet and electricity which usually run about $50 per month. One month rent and one month security deposit are required.

This is a private converted bedroom in a 1 flex 3 unit in Herald Towers and sadly has no living room.
However! The building has some truly great amenities and benefits that more than make up for that:

? NQR and BDFM subway lines and PATH are right outside our front door
? Duane Reade is right outside our back door
? 123 line is one avenue away
? ACE and 456 lines are two avenues away
? 25th floor rooftop that is open in summer and fall
? 25th floor gym that has free-weights, a few machines, and treadmills with views of the skyline to the north
? 20+ washers and dryers on the 3rd floor (the floor we live on)
? 25th floor Rec room with ping-pong tables, couches, nice views, good friend hosting space
? Lots of nice doormen to handle deliveries/mail and say hi when you come in (befriend them they are cool)
? 6 elevators
? Korea Town (Karaoke??) and Bryant Park are very close

Details About the Room and Apartment

This is a 9' x 10' sq. ft. room. While it is small, it fits up to a full-size bed (as pictured) and a desk, and sports a window with the ever-busy view of the 34th St and Broadway intersection. I have made a number of cosmetic/utilitarian updates to the room over the past few months including shelving, painting, curtains, etc. that I hope have made the room feel much nicer. The bed and TV in the pictures will not be staying. While there isn't a closet inside the room itself, there is a large walk-in closet just outside the bedroom that is shared with another roommate.
The bathroom and kitchen are shared between the three of us, and we do keep them clean, which you will need to contribute to. There is plenty of space for all your dishes and food if you like to cook too.

We are, as everyone is, looking for a roommate who pays rent on time, is responsible, and is clean. Because the space is small, cleanliness and respect for the other roommates really helps to make the living situation feel better! It would be great to become friends, but it's cool if that doesn't happen as long as we can all get on comfortably enough to share the space. Your main qualification is being a kind and interesting person. Who pays rent.

Between the two of us, we enjoy a ton of stuff ranging from rock climbing, music production and NYC life, all the way down to British Style high tea, Super Smash Bros, and camping trips to Pennsylvania or NJ. The apartment isn't for hosting parties (it's impossible) but having friends or s/o's over for a reasonable amount of time is great. Please understand that this isn't your girlfriend's second apartment. Most of the time, there's a good calm atmosphere in here and we like that. We think the place is ideal for young professionals age 25-30.
