ABOUT YOU
This room would be perfect for someone new to the city, a rational person wanting to stop wasting money on NYC rent, or as a crash pad for a commuter
The ideal renter is male, 25-35 years old, college educated, career oriented, pet-free, child-free, clean, considerate, and financially independent. The room is for one person, not a couple, and definitely not a family.
The landlord will require an application fee, credit check, and background check before you sign a lease, so don't try any funny business. Criminal records are grounds for immediate dismissal.
ABOUT US
The other two tenants are a 29 year old male working in finance and a 27 year old female grad student at NYU. Both are quiet and introverted, not hosting parties or having many friends over. The girl knows about computers and does research on brain stuff, the guy does nothing but work. We cook once in a while but we're not that into it. We are generally civil and stay out of each other's way. There are ~3,000 books and 2 cats in the apartment, both friendly.
WHAT TO DO NOW
If you fit the profile, please respond with a few sentences about yourself and any additional information that may be relevant. I will schedule a viewing and forward you the application after that. The room must be filled by Sunday, November 22 -- improve your odds by contacting me ASAP.
Rent is $1100/month including all utilities (TV/internet/phone not included). Six month lease begins December 1. You may have the option to renew when the lease expires. The room will be cleared out and professionally cleaned before you arrive.
