Sunny & Private Bedroom in 2Bed/2 Bath East Harlem

I am looking for a roommate for the extra room in a beautiful unfurnished apartment building in the heart of UES/East Harlem (101st/Lex).

The room is $1,050 a month, which includes heat and water. All other utilities can be equally shared. The room available is also unfurnished but currently fits a full or twin size bed, side table/dresser, and shelves. It also has a medium sized window that fills the room with natural light and has the largest closet in the apartment.

The apartment is very up to date with sleek fixtures, modern tiles, and windows in every single room. There is one full bathroom, one large living room, ample pantry space, several storage units, and a full kitchen (sans dishwasher). The apartment is also on the top floor (6th floor) of the building, which makes it incredibly quiet, serene, and sun-drenched. You and I have sole access to the roof. There is no elevator in the building, but that just means you get a great work out! The super lives in the building. Moreover, the two bedrooms are on the opposite sides of the apartment, giving you extra space and privacy!

The apartment is located the gem that is East Harlem. It's under 500 ft. from the 103rd subway line, a 5 min walk to the 110th subway line (for the 2 and 3) which gives you access to reach the entire city with ease. Central Park is a 10min walk, as are The Conservatory Gardens, Museum of the City of New York, and El Barrio Museum. There are tons of bars, incredible restaurants, and adorable community gardens around the corner from the apartment. There are two gyms located nearby. If you want to live in a community where you know your neighbors, can get anywhere you want to in the city, can eat good Mexican food (this is vouched by a California girl!), and still afford rent- this is the place for you!

About Me: Hello! I'm a low key California transplant that loves cooking, being active, and exploring the city. I am 29 years old, an attorney, am generally very clean, and view my home as a sanctuary. I am looking for a roommate to sign onto this unfurnished apartment with me, if possible.

About You: In terms of a roommate, I am looking for someone who is clean, financially responsible, drama-free, and not interested in drugs/smoking in the apartment. No pets. Rental requirements: You will be signing a yearlong lease from October 1, 2016 -- September 30, 2017. Management will require a full application from you, so there will be some paperwork required. There will be an application fee for a credit check, proof of income, first/last/security. First month and security will be due at signing. Guarantors will be required for this apartment, unless you make enough as an individual.
