$1000 Spacious room in E. Harlem apt

Renting one bedroom in a 3br/1ba, second floor apt starting Nov15th or Dec 1st for 3 mo or longer. Great location for medical professionals at MSK or Mt. Sinai, or those working on the UES.

Monthly rent is $1000, plus utilities (which average about $30-50 per person). 1st month's rent and a security deposit of 1 month's rent totaling to $2000 will be required to move in. The room is currently lightly furnished (bed, small desk, lamp, window AC unit) but those can all be taken out if preferred.

The available room has one south-facing window that gets lots of light and can easily fit a full size bed (or a queen if you're fancy), chest of drawers and a small desk in the space. It has a good sized closet and you'd have sole access to another closet just outside the room.

The rest of the place is pretty big, completely furnished, and has a nice-sized, fully stocked kitchen. We've been here for 5+ years and probably have everything you'd need to be comfortable.

The building is on 110th st between 2nd and 3rd, is a ~4 minute walk to the subway, and a 5 min walk from a M15 Select downtown express bus stop. It's a clean, safe block with a school across the street. There is a good grocery store store between the 6 train stop and the apartment, and a laundromat on the corner of 2nd. Lots of great restaurants, a nice bakery, and a few coffee spots nearby. About a 10 min walk to Costco and Target. Close to Thomas Jefferson Park and the East River if you're into running.

Your two roommates will be a male teacher who is not home much other than to cook and sleep, and a female nurse who often works long shifts. We're both friendly, easy to live with, and pretty low key.

We're seeking someone that is responsible, quiet, and respectful of others and common living quarters. General cleanliness is a plus.

Absolutely no smoking or drugs in the apt. The owner of the building is a cop, lives downstairs, and very strict about this because his family is there with him.
