Great for student or young profnl starting out

Available Dec 1, long term only please (pref 9 months or longer), possibly available earlier. We are: a mostly 2 person household and 1 student away at school during the school year. This is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment in the coveted, diverse section of the North West Bronx, known as Riverdale.
Surrounded by trees and up the block from the Fieldston Mansions, this is a safe, quiet block that has no alternate side of the street parking. That's right, you never have to move your car! There are only 2 apt buildings on the block, both owned by the same owner who lives in my building.

The building is locked and has video cameras both inside the building as well as outside for extra measure, that has never been needed.
The neighborhood is filled with upscale shops, lots of different restaurants and fresh produce markets, banks galore, hardware stores, a post office, cleaners as well as multiple houses of worship . . . you get the idea. Subway transportation is along the 1 line which is an easy walk down to (although you'll probably want to take the bus back up the hill). There is an Express bus to Manhattan across the street, Metro North a short ride away, as well as local buses located on the nearby corners.

We are a pet household and ours are cats, 4 to be exact, but they are also well behaved. That being said, we cannot accept other pets in the household. As well, we are a substance free, non-smoking household and request the same in our roommate.
There is cable alternative (SlingTv, NetFlix & Hulu) in the living room, internet/wi-fi (if you have a laptop/smartphone), a flatscreen TV in room and unlimited US calls that are all included in the rent as is the electricity (within reason). For the summer months, there is an additional charge for A/C usage which is nominal.

This rental is perfect for any 1 student (Grad or Under Grad) or young professional starting out, particularly for a second year student wishing to live off-campus with the security of an established home and none of the start-up costs of a new apartment. It cannot be rented for 2 person share. We are conveniently located close to both Manhattan College (down the hill) & Mt. St. Vincent College a short bus ride away.

Rent, which includes all the above mentioned is $850 per month. There is a laundry room in the next bldg. The room offered is good sized ( about 10x12) and bright with lots of morning sun, it is furnished with an air conditioner (A/C in the summer is an added $25), a queen bed, book shelves, cabinets, desk and a dresser with a generous closet that has its own shelving. There are thermal drapes on the window that keep the warmth in during winter and the heat out during summer.

We are definitely looking for someone who is easy going, financially stable and has a history of timely bill payments, respectful and responsible to the household and can come up with several solid references and past rental history or a guarantor/parent who can provide those same references. Move-in includes first & last month and deposit in the same amount as 1 month's rent giving a $2550 total for move in (we can work an agreement for last month spread out in monthly payments if necessary).
