Intern Looking for a Place to Call Home

Hi!

My name is Tim Nwachukwu, and I am a photojournalism student at the University of Missouri. I will be working at Newsday this summer as their multimedia intern, and I have spent the last two weeks trying to find a place that I can call my home for a short period of time. If you?re curious to know, I will turn 21 on 17 March, but I?m not the type to get drunk on a Tuesday night and cause a ton of commotion at night.

I will be working there from 1 June until 8 August, and I would love to be able to keep my commute to and from work as short as possible since I will be spending my shifts driving around Long Island on daily assignments. My weekly wage is $400, and after doing the math, the best that I can afford is up to $700/month. I understand that this is a very lowball offer for the area, but it is the best that I can do under by budget constrains. I?ll be working 40+ hours a week, but I like to be an actual active roommate as opposed to another body sleeping in a home.

Let me know if you?re at all interested in having me around for the summer! I keep a place cleaner than when I found it, and I?m pretty responsible when it comes to paying my bills on time. I mesh well with people, so you can always depend on having a good laugh with me.
